Seasonal campsite: our checks show it closes for several months a year. Check the opening dates before booking.
The municipal campsite of La Nuéjouls is on chemin de Barrau in Fayet, in the Aveyron, in a green setting close to the river. It presents itself as a quiet, family-friendly site, a few kilometres from the abbey of Sylvanès, the Russian church and the château of Montaigut. The village shops (bakery, grocery, bar, restaurant) are about 300 metres away.
The site has 18 pitches, including spaces for motorhomes, as well as two mobile homes with two bedrooms each, with one double bed and two single beds. Pets are accepted. Hot water is produced by a solar installation.
Opening period: the tourist office announces opening from 15 March to 1 November 2026. The campsite is therefore closed in winter. Another website mentions that the mobile homes may be rented outside this period, which remains to be confirmed with the town hall of Fayet before planning a winter stay.
The site is equipped with a service area for motorhomes (drinking water, disposal of waste water and toilets). Barbecues and picnic tables are available. Electricity, showers and waste disposal are charged extra, for example €3 per day for electricity or a service package. Payment is by cheque or in cash.
There is no restaurant or grocery shop on site: bread, newspapers, groceries, a bar and a restaurant can be found in the village, 300 metres away.
On site, a tennis court and a children’s play area are mentioned, as well as electric bike rental. The surroundings are suited to hiking: the campsite is located near the Nuéjouls river, in the heart of nature, within the Grands Causses regional nature park.
Nearby sights include the abbey of Sylvanès, the Russian church, the château of Montaigut and the landscape of the Rougier de Camarès, with its red earth, canyons and gorges.
