Aici Sem Pla is a 2-star farm campsite run by Chantal and Eric on their family farm in Vaïssac, in the east of Tarn-et-Garonne. The site occupies a plateau bordered by small valleys, at 2855 route de Montricoux. The municipality of about 960 inhabitants belongs to the Montauban commuter belt and borders Bruniquel and Nègrepelisse; Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val lies within the same day-trip radius.
The camping area covers 1.5 hectares and remains modest in size. Pitches measure 300 m², in bare, shaded or “nature” versions, the latter without electricity. For rentals, the campsite offers air-conditioned mobile homes, caravans and an unusual tent for two people set apart, which serves as a bedroom for a weekend under the stars. A marquee and a picnic area can also be rented for family parties or association meetings.
As for opening, the official website repeats on several pages that the campsite welcomes guests from 1 January to 31 December, with no mention of an annual closure, and publishes low-season and high-season rates for the mobile homes. Heating in the rental units is not specified and the exact winter dates should be confirmed by phone before booking. Pets are not accepted for long stays.
Reception on site is open every day from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm.
Comfort is deliberately kept simple, in keeping with a farm. Each pitch can have a 10-amp electrical hook-up, except the “nature” pitches, which have none. For tents, a marquee fitted with a gas cooker, a fridge, a microwave and cutlery makes it possible to cook and eat under cover; a gazebo with private garden furniture completes the setup and is also used for stargazing.
The four mobile home models, Tulipe of 40 m² for 5 to 6 people, Coquelicot and Marguerite of 25 m² for 4 to 5 people, Lilas of 25 m² for 2 to 5 people, are all air-conditioned and have a terrace with garden furniture and a sun lounger. Rates per night or per week vary by season: from €50 to €80 a night for the models shown, with weeks from €195 in low season.
The website shows no pool, restaurant or shop on site; shopping and outings are done in neighbouring towns. What operates all year round is therefore limited to the accommodation, the marquee and the daily reception; the website does not announce heated washrooms. Finally, the campsite rents its marquee and picnic area to groups.
The main activity is life on the farm: the estate’s animals, including sheep and donkeys that mingle in the meadows, are part of the stay, and the website tells of births in the flock as well as work in the garden. For children passing through, it is a first contact with livestock farming, with no imposed programme of entertainment.
Around the campsite, the valleys of the Quercy lend themselves to walks, and Vaïssac has hiking trails. Lake Gouyré, a bird reserve, attracts birdwatchers, the church of Saint-Martin and two other historic churches can be visited in the municipality, and the Petit-Paris, a miniature of the capital, amuses families. A porcini mushroom market is also held in the village.
Further afield, Bruniquel and Nègrepelisse are next door, while Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val and Montauban are the outing destinations cited by the campsite. The website speaks of a region of gentle adventure, shaped by hundreds of monuments and flavours. The campsite also rents its marquee for parties or reunions among friends.
Open all year round, from 1 January to 31 December, according to the official website; exact dates to be confirmed with the campsite.
