Spread over 20 hectares, La Brise de Camargue is located in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, in the heart of the regional nature park, half an hour from Arles. A beach gate opens directly onto the town’s beaches, including the wild, dune-lined East Beach, which you can follow on foot as far as the Gulf of Beauduc. The site was created in 1984, rated 3 stars in 2000 and renamed in 2020; it is run by SEMIS, the local semi-public company of Saintes-Maries.
It rents mobile homes and cottages of 19 to 40 m² for 2 to 8 people, including a cottage adapted for guests with reduced mobility and a new premium 50 m² mobile home for 6 people, as well as woody tents for 5 people. Pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, with water points, washroom blocks and a service area, complete the offer. The campsite also holds the Home Vélo label.
As for dates, the calendar published for 2026 includes two closures: the campsite welcomes guests from 6 February to 13 November, then from 18 December to 3 January 2027. It therefore stays open at Christmas and New Year, but closes from 14 November to 17 December, and does not yet welcome guests before 6 February at the start of the year. The snack restaurant and the water park operate for only part of the year.
The campsite also presents itself as a stopover for cycle tourists crossing the Camargue or following the Mediterranean coast, close to the region’s cycle routes.
Cycling and walking on Camargue paths, flamingo watching, East Beach; kids' club during the autumn holidays.
The water park consists of outdoor pools, a spiral slide with five bends and 360-degree views, a paddling pool with a mini slide and an aquatoon with jets and waterfalls. It is open only from June to September, from 10am to 8pm, with a lifeguard in July and August. Sun loungers and pergolas line the pools.
The restaurant and snack bar, open from Easter to All Saints’ Day, serves pizzas baked to order and themed evenings, including a dinner-concert built around paella. A grocery shop provides basic necessities, and the village centre, with its market on Mondays and Fridays, is nearby. A self-service laundry, free Wi-Fi in the accommodation and on the village square, and video surveillance complete the services. Baby kits (high chair, travel cot, bath), bed linen for hire and an end-of-stay cleaning package are offered.
Dogs are allowed on a lead, one per rental unit or pitch, with a health record; category 1 dogs are refused. They can walk on East Beach. The Home Vélo label means a closed space to park bikes, a charging point for electric bikes and a water point for cleaning. Motorhome owners have an emptying and filling area. Reception is open every day.
A pétanque court, a multi-sports pitch, a basketball court, table tennis tables, a fitness area and a zip line equip the site. Wooden play areas with rope bridges and swings await children, who can also join the club for 6 to 12-year-olds during the Easter, summer and autumn holidays: treasure hunts, creative workshops, mini-disco. Once in the summer, the morning is spent on the beach with the nature park’s eco-wardens to understand the strandline.
Summer entertainment includes aqua aerobics, water volleyball, slackline over the water, pétanque tournaments, blind tests, bingo, cluedo, an aperitif boat and towed tube rides at sea. Evenings offer shows, hypnosis, magic, concerts and dance nights.
From the beach, you can go windsurfing, paddleboarding and canoeing, on the sea or along the Petit Rhône, and surfing or bodyboarding when the waves come up. The campsite’s beach is accessible with a badge, from 8am to 8pm off-season and from 8am to 9pm in July and August. The town’s beaches stretch over 36 km.
Off-season, walking and cycling are the thing: the park’s footpaths and bridleways, birds, flamingos, Camargue horses and bulls, with bike hire providers in the area. The kids’ club stays open during the autumn holidays.
In 2026: from 6 February to 13 November, then from 18 December 2026 to 3 January 2027; closed between these periods.
