The municipal campsite Le Coucut is in Castelnau-d’Auzan-Labarrère, in the Gers, in Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne country. It occupies a green leisure park about 300 m from the village centre and its shops, so you can do your shopping on foot.
The site offers two types of accommodation. On one side, 13 unclassified holiday lodges of 40 m², designed for 4 to 6 people, with a listed rate from €250. On the other, a 2-star campsite with 19 pitches: 13 marked-out pitches with water and electricity points, and 6 pitches reserved for tents, with a listed rate of €9.
As for opening, the published dates are clear: the lodges are offered from 1 January to 31 December, while the pitches only operate from 15 May to 30 September. Outside that period, only the lodges are therefore available. The website does not, however, give winter rates or details of the heating: these points should be asked about directly with the campsite before booking a stay in the cold season.
The leisure park surrounding the campsite is open to all all year round. It has hiking trails, a play area, a fishing lake, a heated pool with a paddling pool, tennis and padel courts and a restaurant. Only a few activities are paid.
The leisure park remains open to all all year round, with its hiking trails; the Abbey of Flaran and the Nogaro circuit are open all year round.
Le Coucut is a simple municipal campsite backed by a comprehensive leisure park. The 13 marked-out pitches each have a water and electricity point, while 6 pitches are intended for tents. The 40 m² lodges sleep 4 to 6 people and can be booked all year round.
The leisure park provides most of the facilities. There is a restaurant, a heated pool with its paddling pool, a children’s play area and a fishing lake. The pool, fishing in the lake, hire of the tennis courts and the padel court are paid; access to the park itself remains free.
The campsite website does not publish the restaurant’s opening hours, the pool’s opening period or the list of indoor equipment in the lodges. Outside summer, it is therefore best to phone to find out what is operating, particularly for the restaurant and the pool. The village centre and its shops are within walking distance, about 300 m away.
On site, the leisure park offers hiking on its trails, tennis or padel, fishing in the lake and swimming in the heated pool and its paddling pool. Children have a play area.
