Bois Sigu campsite is located in the hamlet of Le Peuil, in Lans-en-Vercors (Isère), in the Vercors Regional Nature Park. It is 800 m from the village centre and 24 km from Grenoble. Rated 3 stars, it is a quiet, shaded site with 28 grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as three chalets and mobile homes for 2 to 6 people.
The facilities remain simple: comfortable washrooms including one shower and one toilet adapted for people with reduced mobility, a dishwashing room, a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, a TV room, wifi and a children’s play area. The outdoor pool, snack bar and wood-fired pizzas operate only from June to the end of August.
Opening period: the calendar published on the home page distinguishes two cases. The rental accommodation is open from January to the end of March, then from May to the end of September, and closed in April. The touring pitches are open only from May to the end of September. The campsite is therefore closed to campers from October to December, three months in a row. Another page of the website mentions year-round opening, and the older Contact page states a closure from October 15 to December 15: before booking, it is wise to check the dates on 04 76 95 47 02.
Outside the summer season, the ski season gives a chalet stay its point: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are cited on the website for the village.
The campsite offers full-comfort washrooms, a dishwashing room, a laundry room with free-access washing machine and dryer, a TV room and wifi. Facilities for people with reduced mobility are announced in the washrooms. The outdoor pool, the snack bar and the wood-fired pizzas are open only from June to the end of August; in winter, you therefore need to plan your own meals or go down to the village. The rental accommodation is the only lodging available from January to March.
On site, a play area awaits children. Around the campsite, the website lists hiking trails, cycle paths, climbing and paragliding in summer. In winter, Lans-en-Vercors offers downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoe walks, as well as cultural events and local markets. The village tourist office can provide information on these activities.
Rental accommodation: January to end of March and May to end of September, closed in April; pitches: May to end of September. Dates to be confirmed with the campsite (website sources contradict each other).
