Les Logis de l’Oumois cover 2.5 hectares at the hamlet of L’Oumois, in Maulévrier (Maine-et-Loire), where Anjou, the Vendée and the Deux-Sèvres meet. The Parc Oriental de Maulévrier is five minutes away, the Puy du Fou twenty-five minutes and Doué-la-Fontaine, with its zoo and troglodyte dwellings, half an hour. The campsite is rated 2 stars.
The site brings together several types of accommodation around two ponds: 29 shaded pitches of 120 to 200 m², separated by hedges, mobile homes for 4 to 8 people, two chalets on stilts for 5 and 6 people, two gîtes, guest rooms and a hall for hire. There is also a residential park, but it is for owners and not for passing holidaymakers.
As for opening, Anjou Tourisme announces opening from 1 January to 31 December 2026, and the prices on the website cover the whole year, with monthly rates on request for long stays. Only one winter restriction is published: from 1 December to 1 March, tents, caravans and motorhomes are not accepted for overnight stays. Mobile homes, chalets and gîtes are therefore the option to choose for a winter stay.
The washroom block for the pitches is enclosed and heated. Online reviews also mention travellers who came in autumn and appreciate the large common room.
Campsite games room, bowling, karting, laser game and escape game in Cholet at a reduced rate, walks around the ponds.
The washroom block is enclosed, heated, fitted with a baby-changing table and suitable for people with reduced mobility. A common room provides sinks, fridges, freezers, microwaves, a gas cooker, tables and chairs. A washing machine works with 4 € tokens, detergent included. A shared barbecue and a green space with tables complete the site. Internet access is free at reception, with a secure code.
The pitches have electrical hook-ups of 6 to 10 amps. Pets are allowed only on the campsite, with a vaccination record and on a lead, and not in the rental accommodation. Smoking is forbidden in the accommodation.
Each mobile home has an equipped kitchen, with hobs, microwave, coffee maker, fridge-freezer and crockery, as well as blankets and pillows; sheets, towels and cleaning products must be brought. The 4 to 6-berth model measures 32 m² with a 15 m² wooden terrace. The chalets have a large window overlooking the pond; the 6-person one has three bedrooms. No restaurant or swimming pool is listed on the website: the water is limited to the two ponds, for fishing, rowing, pedalos and canoeing. A function room can also be hired for family gatherings.
The ponds are the main attraction: fishing, rowing boat or pedalo trips, canoeing for the more energetic. On site, children have a trampoline, an inflatable play structure and a multi-sport play area, and the games room offers pool, table football, darts and a table tennis table. You will also come across ponies, donkeys, geese and peacocks, and paths allow walks or bike rides around the site.
Five minutes away, the Parc Oriental de Maulévrier, a Japanese garden, organises storytelling evenings with late opening and a “Hanami” to discover. The Château Colbert, mentioned by a guest, serves lunches with dishes made from produce from the vegetable garden. The Puy du Fou is about twenty-five minutes away and Doué-la-Fontaine thirty minutes.
A local partnership offers reduced rates for holidaymakers at l’Autre Usine in Cholet: bowling, karting, laser game and escape game, indoor activities that suit autumn or winter days. For long stays, fishing and walks around the ponds remain simple pastimes, as long as you adapt to the weather.
Open from 1 January to 31 December; from 1 December to 1 March, tents, caravans and motorhomes are not accepted for overnight stays.
