La Goupilliere

La Goupillère campsite is in the hamlet of La Goupillère, in Auvers-le-Hamon, in the Sarthe, between Sablé-sur-Sarthe and the village of Auvers-le-Hamon. It is run by Simon Merlin and Nadège Plumegeau, who can be reached on 07 81 88 38 96, and it can also be hired as a function room for family celebrations, christenings, communions or meetings.

The site accepts tents, caravans and motorhomes, with pitches for caravans and motorhomes given as about ten according to some listings. Other, older listings speak of around a hundred plots over five hectares with partial tree cover: the figures vary, and only the campsite can give the current capacity. A river runs about 200 metres away, fishing is possible on site, and pets are allowed on the pitches.

Opening period: the commune of Auvers-le-Hamon presents this campsite as open all year round. No calendar, winter rates or details of the accommodation available off-season are published; the presence of year-round residents is not ruled out either, so it needs to be confirmed with the campsite that it welcomes passing holidaymakers outside summer.

The services listed are simple: a playground for children, a pétanque court and a games room for families. Heated washrooms with facilities for guests with disabilities are mentioned in an older listing; their current condition remains to be confirmed. Farm produce is mentioned nearby.
