Villa Landreau occupies a two-and-a-half-hectare estate at 32 rue du Petit Beauregard in Le Fenouiller, in the Vendée. The centre of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and its shops are about 5 minutes away, and the fine sand beaches are 3 km away. The campsite has a 4-star rating, 125 pitches and describes itself as a quiet, secure “village”. It also sells mobile homes to owners, who can enjoy them all year round.
On site, a water area has a covered heated pool with a paddling pool, alongside a bar-restaurant with a terrace, a playground, a multisport court, a petanque court, a fitness room and an events hall. In July and August, the kids’ club, tournaments, themed evenings and concerts set the rhythm of the season.
Opening period: the site states “open all year round” and specifies that the reception office is open all year, with reduced hours from September to January. However, mobile home rental is announced “during the season”, the pool only operates from 1 April to 15 September, and the bar, snack and bike services are limited to the period from 7 July to 23 August. No off-season tourist offer is published: whether holidaymakers passing through are welcome in winter therefore needs to be confirmed on 02 51 93 01 20 before planning any stay.
The peak season with full activity is concentrated from 7 July to 23 August: the bar with a terrace on the pool, entertainment for all ages, the kids’ club, bike hire, dance evenings, meals and shows, as well as the snack bar and takeaway pizza. Washing machine and dryer tokens, at €5, are sold at reception until 15 September.
All year round, the site lists paid wifi on all pitches, the petanque court, the playground and the multisport court. The water area, with its covered heated pool and paddling pool, is open from 1 April to 15 September. The reception office is open all year: from 9am to 7pm every day from 15 June to 1 September, then Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm, and Saturday morning from 10am to 12pm, from 1 September to 31 January.
In July and August, the kids’ club welcomes the little ones every morning for creative activities, games, treasure hunts and plays staged in the events hall. For older guests, the team organises volleyball, table tennis, football and aqua-volleyball tournaments, as well as introductions to dance, fitness, stretching and aqua-dance, not to mention bike rides and walks. In the evening, quiz aperitifs, bingo, petanque tournaments, concerts and shows complete the programme.
Around the campsite, the site mentions karting, paintball, laser game and the Glassy House artificial surf wave. Further afield, you can visit the Puy du Fou, the Parc du Grand Défi, the Château de Talmont, the bourrine du Bois Juquaud, the Rairé mill or the salt marshes, and reach the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier. Hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths surround Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
Announced as “open all year round” by the site, but mobile home rental “during the season”, water area from 1 April to 15 September; precise dates not published: to be confirmed with the campsite.
