Domaine de La Billardiere

Domaine de la Billardière is located at the place called La Billardière, in Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits, in the Vendée. The official website places it about ten minutes from the beaches and describes it as a 4-hectare estate where rest, nature and conviviality come first. It is accessible to guests with reduced mobility and pets are allowed.

The estate has around a hundred landscaped, grassed plots of 160 to 315 m², separated by hedges. Guests have access to an area with barbecues, a heated outdoor pool of about 20 m by 10 m, a lake where fishing is possible, washrooms with washing machines and a service area for motorhomes.

Opening period: the campsite is listed as residential and open all year, but the site does not describe any winter tourist welcome. Rentals are announced from April to October, the pool operates from May to the end of September depending on the weather, and the campsite no longer has bare pitches: tents and caravans are therefore no longer accepted. It is mainly a place for residents and mobile home owners; whether holidaymakers passing through are welcome needs to be checked with the campsite on 02 51 98 95 73, in particular outside the April to October period.

The washrooms have washing machines, and there are showers near the pool, which must be used before each swim, with an area fitted out for guests with reduced mobility. An area with barbecues is available. The motorhome service point allows you to empty waste water and the toilet cassette and to fill up with fresh water, for a flat fee of €3 for passing guests. The outdoor pool, fitted with a safety gate for toddlers, is open from May to the end of September, depending on the weather.

On site, a lake allows fishing. The website gives no details of entertainment or sports facilities. The estate is about ten minutes from the beaches of the Vendée coast, making it a starting point for outings to the ocean.
